PROBLEM:
The problem that formed the basis for CIAC Systems was the industry-wide and chronic issue of electric heat trace cable failure. Until now, there has been no means to accurately or consistently warn plant operations of an impending failure of these important components.
SOLUTION:
With our patented system and services, CIAC leverages new predictive circuit failure forecasting to identify potential faults to alert you ahead of time. Users now have the ability to repair or replace heat trace cables that are indicating future faults BEFORE they fail.
CIAC provides real time data of key system attributes via a LAN based dashboard capable of displaying system information to users throughout the facility. The dashboard incorporates features that provide valuable assistance to plant operations with comprehensive circuit and branch line information available at the click of a mouse.
PAST:
REACTIVE MAINTENANCE
Replacing faulty heat trace components after they've failed costs more than just the price of parts and labor. Unexpected circuit “trips” and plant downtime have significant impact in the form of lost revenue, regulatory compliance issues, and budget shortfalls.
CIAC FUTURE:
PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE
CIAC Systems has instead created a live monitoring program that provides the trending data needed to track component performance and schedule maintenance around planned downtime. Your budget and your operations teams both benefit by moving from reactive to predictive maintenance.
CIAC Comprehensive Circuit Report
Heat Trace Circuit Audits all year long – when you want them
With CIAC, you have both automated system audits performed weekly (above 40 deg F) and daily (below 40 deg F), and the ability to have an instantaneous audit per circuit or per panel performed at any time simply by clicking the appropriate button on your Dashboard Display. No more annual "snapshots" – you now have audits performed continuously to keep you informed and safe.
By combining the best tool possible for measuring EHT circuit health (insulation resistance measured in megohms) and by taking these measurements periodically (daily or weekly dependent upon ambient temperature), CIAC has created a new standard in the electric heat trace industry for assisting our customers in Predictive Maintenance and Planning to avoid unanticipated disruptions to their operations.
CIAC Comprehensive Circuit reports include ambient temperature and humidity, with daily/weekly automated “megger” test results. These reports provide the analytics of circuit performance trending, specifically with the importance of knowing the ambient conditions and how they affect your electric heat trace system. With this information, you will be able to effectively forecast potential circuit failures BEFORE they happen!
